Tethering a Canon Digital Rebel XT to Aperture 2

Aperture 2 came out today, and I was super excited about trying out the tethering feature built into Aperture now. Tethering allows you to see pictures taken with the camera appear in Aperture immediately after the shot. You can even use Aperture to control the camera. However, I couldn't figure out how to get my Canon Digital Rebel XT to work with it.

After much googling, the solution is quite simple, simply go into the menu on the camera and find the Communication setting (on my DR XT it's the tab on the far right, tools 2). Now just change it from Print/PTP to PC Connection, and voila. Now just plug the camera in with the USB cable and start a new tethering session from Aperture (File > Tether > Start Session...).

Changing the communication settings will most likely work with other Canon cameras in much the same way. From what I understand, most Digital SLRs support tethering. This will come in really handy when I'm doing photo shoots for whatever reason.
