ToySight Gold - It's in the hands
SEP 15th 2007 • 0 Comments
Lastnight I ran across a game that's been out for a few years now, and it actually won an Apple Design Award for Most Innovative Mac OS X Product, but I had never seen it before. It's called ToySight Gold by Freeverse - it lets you use your hands to control elements on the screen using gestures caught with the iSight in the computer. When I saw it I was initially reminded of that scene in Minority Report of Tom Cruise controlling holographic elements with his hands.
The only bummer with the game is that it takes a bit of getting used to the interface before you're any good. It's also not intel native, which means it has to run under Rosetta. But I didn't notice any serious lag time. It's definitely a cool game to show off with.
