I just overheard a recording of a pastor or speaker who commented that "People who use their Bible are far less likely to drink, gamble or view pornography, it's not a gimmick, it's a solution". This is an improper way of looking at the Word of God and taken by itself, it misses the primary point of why we have the Bible I think.

I was singing along with a Chris Tomlin song in the car driving home tonight. The song is "Made to Worship", in it he says, "You and I were made to worship", and it suddenly struck me how amazing that is. We were made to worship God!

I've been thinking recently about what I would say if someone asked me, "What makes you a christian?". Not "Why are you a Christian?" or "How did you become a Christian?", but what makes me a Christian? I was thinking about it, and the simplest answer to this question is God's grace. And that's probably the most important part of understanding what makes me a Christian: nothing I did, simply and absolutely, God's grace.

I've been thinking a lot recently about my life, happiness, and yes, that mushy topic we all love.... love. I'm rather secluded being a freelancer. I've always been somewhat of an introvert. For the most part, I like to keep to myself. And I feel I've been able to really refine my craft as a result, It's also given me more time to focus on my relationship with God.
